March 2023 - April 2024

My Journey in SFO

In March 2023, I embarked on an exciting journey as an HR Assistant at SFO Technologies, a leading electronic manufacturing company in Kerala. Imagine stepping into a bustling environment where cutting-edge technology meets human talent. I was tasked with the critical responsibility of ensuring that this talent pipeline remained robust, efficient, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Building the Talent Foundation

One of my most rewarding challenges was overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process. Picture this: over 200 candidates, each bringing unique skills and potential to the table. My mission? To sift through countless applications, identify the best fit, and guide them through the recruitment maze. I conducted preliminary interviews, coordinated with different departments for comprehensive assessments, and ensured every step of the process was smooth and transparent. By maintaining meticulous records and ensuring confidentiality, I was able to not only fill positions but also elevate the company's reputation as a desirable place to work.

Creating a Positive Work Environment

In the world of HR, handling employee relations is like being a bridge that connects the company’s goals with the well-being of its employees. I took on the role of this bridge with dedication, addressing concerns and conflicts with a focus on empathy and resolution. Whether it was a minor grievance or a more significant workplace dispute, I provided guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensuring that each issue was resolved in a way that benefited both the employee and the organization.

The Pulse of the Organization: Data and Payroll

Managing payroll for over 400 employees might sound daunting, but for me, it was an opportunity to ensure that the heart of the organization—its people—was well taken care of. I delved into the intricacies of attendance data, overtime calculations, and leave management, ensuring that every paycheck was accurate and timely. But my role went beyond just crunching numbers; I also harnessed the power of data analysis. By using tools like MS Power BI and SQL, I transformed raw data into meaningful insights, providing visualizations that helped the leadership team make informed decisions.

Fostering Team Spirit

One of my favorite aspects of working at SFO Technologies was organizing employee engagement activities. I believe that a strong team is built not just through work but also through shared experiences. Over the course of my tenure, I planned and executed more than 10 events and programs that brought employees together, promoted collaboration, and nurtured a sense of belonging. These weren’t just fun activities—they were carefully crafted initiatives that aligned with the company’s culture and goals.

Training for Success

Recognizing the importance of continuous learning, I identified training needs across the organization and coordinated over 15 training sessions. Each session was more than just a box-ticking exercise; it was an opportunity to align employee development with the company’s strategic vision. By facilitating these sessions, I helped employees grow in their roles, equipping them with the skills needed to contribute more effectively to the organization’s success.

Leaving a Legacy

By the time my journey at SFO Technologies came to a close in April 2024, I had not only contributed to the day-to-day HR operations but had also played a key role in enhancing the company’s image in the marketplace. The result? A 20% increase in positive candidate feedback, a testament to the superior candidate experience we provided.
